Everyone knows July was hot! But we made it, and here we are in August already. We celebrated Abrielle’s 3rd birthday with a horse-theme party with family and her little best friend, complete with an obstacle course and new sliding board. Our July’s are not very eventful, as we do our camping and outdoor adventure trips more in the cooler seasons. We took a 2-day trip with my parents to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the place of the tragic flood in 1889. My parents and I enjoyed the cultural and industrial history museums, while Abrielle enjoyed a children’s museum and a river park playground.
Divi news
Elegant Themes released two bug fix updates July 12th with a long list of changes. Divi is preparing something huge, a foundational change which will prepare the way for unleashing a huge list of feature updates. Until then, we wait excitedly for the future Of Divi.
New Tutorials In July
We released a new Divi tutorial every Tuesday as usual for a total of 4 during the month of July. These are always written blog posts and YouTube videos.Â

NEW: Divi Taxonomy Helper
In case you missed the announcement, we released our 10th plugin from Pee-Aye Creative, the Divi Taxonomy Helper! This plugin is quite unique and fills in a few key missing features that no one else has provided. So we though, why not? The plugin adds image support for any taxonomy on your site. It also adds Dynamic Content support to the Divi Theme Builder, so you can use the taxonomy images as featured images. It also includes a custom Divi module to display and customize the taxonomies using all the familiar Divi Builder settings. Be sure to watch the video to see all the features, and I hope you enjoy!
Divi Tabs Maker 2.0 Feature update
A massive update…already? In my effort to make this plugin the 100% clearly obvious best and most valuable tabs plugin ever, we have been brainstorming advanced features for the past 2 years. We actually had version 1.0 completed almost 2 years ago, but left it sit without releasing it due to focussing on new features to existing plugins. This is because of our commitment to continue adding more value to the products you already own. During that time, we were always adding new feature ideas to the development list, but those didn’t make it into version 1.0. In the past month, we sprinted, and realized this would be silly to call it 1.1 since we basically doubled the features and value. So here it is, Divi Tabs Maker version 2.0, a month after 1.0 was released. How crazy is this?
Divi Responsive Helper Update
We released a small update to our Divi Responsive Helper plugin version 2.2.3 on July 6. This update includes 2 main new features:
- Column Stacking Support For Specialty Sections
- Our Typography settings now override the weird Divi issue which sets smaller default font sizes in rows with 3 or more columns.
Plugin Feature Updates Coming
Product development is not easy, and takes time. But we are soon ready to release several big updates to Divi Events Calendar, Divi Contact Form Helper, and Divi Carousel Maker.
